CPI Property Group redevelops shopping centre in the heart of Kolín

The real estate company CPI Property Group has begun work on a major renovation of the shopping centre in Náměstí Republiky, Kolín. The entire building, in which supermarket BILLA is predominate, is scheduled for modernisation and refurbishments will be made to both interior and exterior facades. Investment in the reconstruction will approach CZK 65 million while the expected completion date is February 2017, allowing new customers to be in time to shop for the Easter holidays.

"Apart from the significant aesthetic, practical interior and exterior modifications we emphasise the right mix of tenants whose goods and services must reflect the needs of visitors," says Vit Kala, Senior Asset Manager of CPI Property Group, responsible for managing the portfolio of affiliated projects.

Visitors to the Kolín shopping centre can look forward to a significant enhancement of the whole shopping environment. The primary modifications relate to the establishment of an entirely new central foyer and a comprehensive expansion of the centre‘s tenant mix with the current BILLA supermarket undergoing extensive remodelling. In the all-new luminous passage, shoppers will be able to visit a variety of popular stores in fashion, convenience stores and newsagents. The interior will see a modern and contemporary conversion with an all-new glazed arcade, escalators and wheelchair accessible glass lift. Customers will also be able to exploit new services and visit the first-floor café with retail space being extended to the second floor.

The modest shopping centre, where in the past BILLA supermarket operated exclusively, is located in the heart of Kolín at Náměstí Republiky, one of two central city squares. The location offers a high frequency of customers and a sufficient number of parking spaces, which is secured by an expansive car park in front of the building.
